-Dear İpek, could you share some insights about the key
aspects of yacht furniture manufacturing with us?
-Yacht design, and naturally yacht furniture manufacturing, has become an increasingly popular sector in recent years. It’s a field that requires definitely teamwork, determination, patience, and curiosity, encouraging you to master even the smallest details. It’s crucial to support your technical knowledge with up-to-date software while analyzing new projects from shipyards and their intricate details to build a strong knowledge base in the background.
Within this industry, having a good command of
foreign languages is indispensable for keeping up with international dynamics
and innovations. Young professionals should set goals that not only benefit
their careers within their country but also contribute to their global growth.
They should continuously feed their minds and curiosity so they can stay a few
steps ahead of their peers working in the same field.
When we look at the project management process from a
broader perspective, it can be defined as a team effort.
The first step is adapting the designer’s project for
production. Then, we plan the process by discussing the details with our skilled atelier craftsmen , calculating the material structure, and evaluating
the advantages of on-site assembly. Throughout the production process, we
ensure constant quality control and aim for flawless results. Occasionally,
unforeseen revisions may arise that deviate from the initial plan. At this
point, your ability to manage crises, take ownership of the project, and truly
"care" about the work will contribute greatly to your learning and
growth. Every project is a new journey with its own unique challenges and
opportunities.
