With extensive experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and industry development, she works closely with shipyards, designers, suppliers, and industry leaders to foster a more connected, responsible, and forward-thinking superyacht community. Her insights offer a valuable perspective on the future of luxury yachting, craftsmanship, innovation, and the partnerships that drive the industry forward.

Could you briefly introduce yourself and tell us about your journey into the superyacht industry?

My career has always been centered around strategic marketing, brand positioning, and communications. Before joining the superyacht industry, I worked across both international and local organizations, developing high impact communication strategies, leading international campaigns, and building partnerships that strengthened brand reputation and audience engagement.
Five years ago, I joined the Superyacht Life Foundation, first as Marketing Director and now as Executive Director, and it was my first role in the superyacht industry. Coming from outside the sector gave me a fresh perspective. I quickly discovered an industry driven by extraordinary craftsmanship, innovation, and passionate people, yet one that is often misunderstood by the wider public.

Since then, my focus has been on sharing authentic stories and industry information that bridge the gap between the industry and the wider public. Together with our board, partners, and the wider industry, we've worked to strengthen the sector's reputation, helping attract new audiences, support market growth, and inspire the next generation of talent to see the superyacht industry as a place where they can build rewarding careers. Through PR campaigns, initiatives such as The Honours, which tells inspiring stories through documentaries and global recognition, and World Boating Day, an international campaign that opens the doors of our industry to the public and future talent, I've had the privilege of highlighting the people and projects that are shaping the future of our industry.

What do you believe are the biggest opportunities currently shaping the future of the superyacht industry?

One of the biggest opportunities currently shaping the superyacht industry is how it chooses to position and communicate what it truly stands for. There is still a gap between perception and reality, and closing that gap is not just a communication exercise, it is a long term opportunity to strengthen the entire sector.

We are also seeing a moment where external pressures such as regulation, sustainability expectations, and shifting societal views are pushing the industry to evolve. While challenging, this is creating momentum for companies to rethink how they operate, how they collaborate, and how they define long term value beyond individual projects.
Another key opportunity lies in talent. Attracting the next generation is not only about showcasing technical excellence, but also about making the industry visible, understandable, and appealing as a long term career space. That requires clearer storytelling and a more open approach across all levels of the industry.

Finally, there is a strong opportunity in strengthening alignment across the ecosystem. The more the industry works in a connected way, sharing knowledge and communicating with one voice where possible, the more effectively it can build trust and relevance externally.

From your experience, what qualities make a company stand out and become a trusted long term partner within the yacht industry?

What makes a company truly stand out is not only the quality of what it delivers today, but the vision it has for tomorrow. The companies that leave a lasting mark are those that look beyond their own success and actively contribute to the future of their region, the industry, and the people within it.

At the Superyacht Life Foundation, we've been fortunate to work with many partners since day one, from shipyards and designers to brokerage firms, yacht management companies, media, legal specialists and so on. Although they represent different parts of the industry, they all share the same vision for the future of it. They are leaders in their respective fields because they combine technical excellence with integrity, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to a long term vision.

Trust is built over time through consistency, transparency, and a willingness to listen, adapt, and work together towards a bigger mission. Those are the companies that build lasting relationships, earn respect across the industry, and ultimately help shape its future.

How important is craftsmanship and quality in maintaining the reputation of the superyacht sector worldwide?

Quality is about far more than aesthetics. It is about reliability, innovation, safety, and creating something that stands the test of time. Our clients have exceptionally high expectations and seek the very best experience possible, which continually pushes the industry to raise the bar.

Craftsmanship is at the heart of our industry's reputation because it represents something much bigger than luxury. Superyachts are among the most complex products ever built, and every detail reflects the expertise of countless specialists who dedicate years, often decades, to perfecting their craft. It's something that anyone can admire, whether they have ever stepped on board a yacht or not. When people see, read about, or experience that level of craftsmanship, they begin to understand that our industry is built on exceptional talent, engineering, creativity, and innovation. That understanding is essential in strengthening the industry's reputation around the world.

One story that perfectly illustrates this is Andy Peters, Britain's last traditional ship figurehead carver. As demand for this centuries old craft declined, the superyacht industry gave him the opportunity to continue practising and evolving his skills. Rather than allowing a remarkable tradition to disappear, our industry helped preserve it by giving it a new purpose. For me, that's what craftsmanship in the superyacht sector is really about. It's not only about building extraordinary yachts. It's about preserving heritage, supporting highly specialised skills, inspiring future generations of artisans, and demonstrating that innovation and tradition can thrive together.

As owner expectations continue to evolve, what trends are influencing yacht interiors and onboard living experiences today?

Owners are increasingly looking for spaces that reflect their lifestyles rather than simply showcasing luxury.

We're seeing a stronger focus on wellness, flexible living spaces, natural materials, and timeless design. Technology is becoming more seamlessly integrated, making life onboard more comfortable without dominating the experience.

Personalization is also more important than ever. Owners want interiors that tell their own story and support the way they want to spend time with family and friends. Ultimately, the experience has become just as important as the design itself.

The industry relies on strong collaboration between designers, shipyards, and specialist suppliers. What do you think is the key to successful project partnerships?

Successful partnerships begin with a shared vision and mutual respect. Every discipline brings its own expertise, and the best projects happen when everyone understands the common goal and values each other's contribution.

Open communication is equally important. Challenges inevitably arise during complex builds, but transparency, trust, and a solution-oriented mindset allow teams to navigate those moments successfully. When collaboration becomes a true partnership rather than a transactional relationship, the final result is always stronger.

From the perspective of the Superyacht Life Foundation, we work closely with partners across the entire ecosystem. What makes this collaboration work is the ability to leave competition at the door and come together around a shared mission for the industry. It is about contributing time, knowledge, and resources when needed, not only for individual projects, but for initiatives that strengthen the wider sector.

Over time, this approach naturally builds strong professional relationships and, in many cases, real friendships between companies that are otherwise competitors. That spirit of collaboration is what allows the industry to move forward together

Looking ahead to the next decade, what excites you most about the future of the superyacht industry?

What excites me most is that our industry has an incredible opportunity to redefine its future. We are operating in a context shaped by economic uncertainty, socio political realities, evolving regulations, sustainability challenges, and ongoing perception issues. But in many ways, moments of complexity also create moments of opportunity, and that is how I see the current landscape.

I believe the direction forward is about becoming less fragmented and more aligned as an industry. That means being more transparent, more goal oriented, and more connected in how we communicate, not only with clients, but also with the wider world and future generations. I see a future where the superyacht industry is recognised as a leading space for maritime innovation, while also becoming more accessible and attractive to new talent and those who are curious about it.

Collaboration will be central to that evolution. When we work more closely across the industry, share authentic stories, information, and achievements, and learn from one another, we not only move the industry forward but also strengthen its overall reputation. That is something I have been deeply committed to through my work at the Superyacht Life Foundation, and I truly believe it represents one of the most important opportunities ahead for our industry.

Finally, what advice would you give to MSM Yacht Interiors as we continue expanding internationally and building long-term relationships within the global superyacht industry?

As you continue to grow internationally, never lose sight of the relationships that make this industry so unique. Quality may open doors, but trust, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to the wider industry are what build long-term success. The strongest businesses are those that grow together with their partners and help move the entire industry forward.
